Bless, Seek, Fear, & Trust the Lord (Psalm 34)
• Martin Shin • Series: Summer in the Psalms
David opens this Thanksgiving Psalm by praising the Lord and encouraging others to join him. In 1st Samuel, we are told that David escaped from Gath and fled to the cave of Adullam, where this psalm may have been written. Out of this experience, David shared four instructions for his own followers, (1) bless the Lord, (2) seek the Lord, (3) fear the Lord and, (4) trust the Lord - relevant instructions for us today, too. David is also inviting us to taste and see that the Lord is good.
