1st John
John the Apostle wrote this letter to fight for the complete joy of a congregation which was being tempted to follow the false teaching of some former brothers who had fallen into idolatrous beliefs. The bottom line for Pastor John and his flock was the truth about Jesus. Everything else flows from that truth: love, light, life, holiness, sanctification, knowledge, and fellowship with God.
